If you’re anything like me, one of the things you really want to accomplish as a health entrepreneur is to have massive impact and change the lives of those you serve for the better.

And, if you’re anything like me when you went to school for your health designation you were taught to work 1:1 with clients. One at a time, creating extremely personalized and new protocols or workouts each time (which actually means overwhelm for the client and tons f unpaid homework time on your part!) So how do you make the switch out of the 1:1 model? Sometimes you need to think outside the box, and that will allow your business to grow AND you to be able to serve more clients who need you.

I loved having this conversation with Natalie Garcia as we discussed her own journey as a health coach and how that pushed her into creating the idea behind Practice Better, practice management software for health professionals.

As we’ve discussed before on the podcast, not very many of us attended school for a degree in business - so getting started as a health professional can be a bit daunting in the business aspect of everything. Natalie found herself overwhelmed with all of the different programs and resources out there, both paid and free, that were supposed to help her business run more smoothly (can you relate!?) Which is why she decided to work on and create something that would help not only her own holistic nutrition business, but so many others who were running into those same problems.

Natalie explains how Practice Better was formed in order to solve a problem that she was facing with her own business. From there, Practice Better evolved into something that is easy to use and is utilized by many in the field. During the creation process there were certinately times that she wasn’t sure it would turn into anything useful - but they stuck with it and now have a great platform that is helpful for so many.

Pro tip from Natalie: you don’t have to be first - you just have to be better.

Make your own program unique to you and the clients that you want to serve - don’t worry about being the first, worry about making yours better. You also can’t be afraid to get up and do something. It’s okay to make mistakes or missteps, because that is a learning experience for yourself and your business. The only way you’ll go forward in your business is if you take action and do something!
