Apr 12, 2018

At the end of 2017 I had to make 3 tough choices for my business and my life, and since I learn by example I thought it might be helpful to walk you through my decision making process.

The story starts on December 8th, 2017. In Collingwood Ontario with my business bestie Stephanie Joanne. We spent hours laying on the floor with a bottle of wine and talking about ALL. THE. THINGS.     I kept repeating to her - “I just need more time.” and so she asked me the question - “What do you need to stop or start doing in order to make room for what you really want?”

After that big reminder that I get to choose how my life looks and feels like, I revisited my vision. I revisited my goals. Interrogated myself with the help of my therapist and got really clear on how I wanted to feel. I asked… is this still my vision?

Once I was really clear about my vision and goals for 2018 making some hard choices and saying No to things, even though I knew it might disappoint a whole lot of people became much easier.

This is why creating a vision for your life and business is one of the first steps in The Wellness Business Academy curriculum - because if you don’t know where you are going, how will you know how you are going to get there?

Each time you are faced with a tough decision, I suggest you revisit that vision and ask yourself some difficult questions about how you can achieve your goals while still feeling the way that you want to feel. What will it take for you to hit those goals? Is it worth it in your overall vision? Will it allow you to feel the way you want to feel? Will it push you towards your goals? What will you have to give up to make it happen? Are you okay with that sacrifice? Getting real and honest with yourself if the only way to clarity.

Here’s What I Talk About In This Episode:

  • The 3 hard choices I had to make at the end of 2017
  • The question my friend asked me that started the process
  • The vision I wrote for my business and life more than 5 years ago
  • The process I used to determine if that vision was still true
  • The questions I asked myself to decide if I should say YES or NO
  • Why I have zero regrets, even for the darkest moments
  • Why I believe in my bones that NO opportunity is ever missed
