What does the term “mompreneur” mean to you? If thoughts of doing ALL. THE. THINGS. and running a badass, successful business while also keeping a pinterest worthy home, spending quality time with the kids, cooking from scratch, maintaining deep, fulfilling relationships, working out regularly and doing it all with a smile….then you’re in the wrong place.

Because, for this episode my guest Sara Dean is joining me to dispel the myths and shame of what it means to be a “mompreneur”. I couldn’t think of anyone better than Sara, the creator of The Shameless Mom Academy to continue the conversation I started in Episode 16 with Meghan Walker. We talk about how it’s not about doing more, it’s actually about doing much less, but getting super intentional about what the things we do are.

I loved how willing Sara was to have an honest and real conversation about being a mother AND business owner, how to find your own voice to stand up for yourself and your life, and not letting anyone (yourself included!) shame you into feeling bad about your family or business choices. You know what is right for yourself, your family, and your business - and not everybody is going to understand what works for you.

Sara and I open up about our personal journeys of being both moms and successful business owners. From daycare to snow days to drawing boundaries around your work time and being judged by others - this is a conversation you really don’t want to miss!
