This episode is SO freakin’ good I wish I could find a way to get it into the hands of all health professionals building and growing their business. If the words sell or sales make you fidget or want to throw up a bit in your mouth, this episode is a MUST listen. Because if you can’t sell with confidence then you are missing your chance to have the massive impact on your potential clients’ health that you so desire to have.

I am so thrilled to share this episode with you! My guest today really lays down some truth, and if you’ve ever felt too sales-based, don’t have a sales plan, or even have some mental roadblocks about asking for the sale - this is the episode for you! We as business owners aren’t necessarily natural born saleswomen or men, but it is something that we have to become accustomed with if we want to see our business grow.

I was nodding my head right along with this week’s guest Michelle McGlade as she laid down some truth, shared her evolution with sales and really tells it like it is.  I have yet to meet someone in the health and wellness business that loves to sell when first starting out, but it’s necessary to learn and practice. Michelle will walks you through some mindset blocks behind selling and how you can work through them to feel more comfortable dealing with the sales aspect of your business.

We as business owners need to put a sales process into place. But you don’t have to feel like a used-car salesmen about it. Think of it more as a storyboard, what is the next logical step you need to take to move these potential clients from point 1 to point 2. Remember that these are just people, like you, and you want to begin building a relationship with them.

Your follow up calls/emails can be fun! Offer them something of value, market it like it has a value and you can be more casual and light-hearted about it.  You need to get them to the point of making a decision, it’s either yes for now or no for now, just because it’s a no for now doesn’t mean you won’t ever see a sale from those clients.

We tend to see entrepreneurs get really nervous or lose all self confidence when it comes to sales. Often this is because they don’t have a sales process in place. If you don’t know what steps to take, aren’t sure what to say, how often to follow up that lack of confidence and self-doubt is going to creep its’ way into your mind. The only way you’re going to get more comfortable with it and grow into that confident sales process, is by taking risks and going for it! Think of a sales framework or process like a recipe, at first you’ll want to follow it to the T, but after you’ve done it a few times you can add a dash of this or a splash of that and really make it your own. Don’t let your own fears take precedence and that block yourself from following that passion to help others!
