Can you believe it?  We are already a few days into 2020 -- and into a whole new decade! Time for big changes, right?  Which is why I wanted to kick off this new decade with a special episode of The Business of Becoming.

Whether you’re just starting out with your online business or if you’ve been in this game for a while, I wanted to share with you some of the most important lessons my leadership team and I  learned in 2019.

In this episode, I bring together my C-suite team of Michelle Waithe, Christine Labate and Laura Wood to give you a behind-the-scenes look at what we focused on as we grew the company in the past year -- and the lessons we’ve learned along the way.

You’ll get the perspective of four different people who have four different roles in the company. We talk about everything from numbers to mindset to working as a team.

This episode was so much fun to record because I have been through thick and thin with these amazing women over the years -- and none of us has an MBA or any of those things you think you need to run a business. We do it all with a growth mindset based on our core values -- and we know when to get help from experts when we need it to scale our business.

It’s this mindset that has helped us to grow into a multi-million dollar business.

There are so many lessons and insights in this episode to help you navigate your own journey -- whether you’re a solo entrepreneur or have a team -- so make sure you hit pause when you need to and take lots of notes.

What We Talk About In This Episode:

  • How there was a natural progression to move into C-suite roles over time as the company grew into a multi-million dollar corporation. (C-suite roles are those executive-level roles that start with “C” -- like CEO, COO and so on.)
  • How you can be serious about your business yet still share screaming goat videos.
  • How we grew from ten team members at the start of 2019 to almost thirty by the end of the year.
  • Why processes and systems are key to weathering any storm -- personal or business -- in your online health and wellness business.
  • Why nothing deserves the level of stress and panic that people put themselves through when things go wrong.  (Hint: Nothing is an emergency.)
  • How you learn over time that worrying about a problem doesn’t actually help to solve it in any way.
  • Why you need to have contingency plans in place when planning out your goals.
  • How using your core values as your guiding principles -- and removing the “feelings” -- can help you make better business decisions.
  • Why it’s okay to completely pivot on a decision when you realize it doesn’t feel right.
  • What advice the C-suite team would give themselves if they could go back in time.
  • Why you need to ask experts for help as you continue to grow your business at any level.
